Did You Know?
Beach Haven was founded in 1873 by Archelaus Pharo, Thomas Parry, Dr. Samuel Ashhurst and several other affluent investors. Pharo owned the Tuckerton Railroad, which brought people to a ferry in Edge Cove. Parry, co-founder of the Baldwin Locomotive Works, would build the first hotel in Beach Haven, the Parry House.

| I heard that this place is right over the causeway, and has excellent food. I also heard that this restaurant is owned by the same owners as Ship Bottom Shellfish, and The Black Whale. Is it the same quality, and does it make sense to try something off the island? View Answers |
